“Cinema is halfway between life and art.” –Jean-Luc Godard
As a film enthusiast, I find immense excitement in every facet of cinema. The themes, the symbols, the characters—each element of a well-crafted film is exhilarating. What fascinates me most are the plot and the dialogue. As a huge admirer of The Dark Knight (2008), my reading of its screenplay only strengthens my conviction that it is the masterpiece of the 21st century. Having watched the film countless times, every line and every scene is etched into my memory, beautifully crafted to propel the story forward.
In this section, I present my first screenplay — a short film titled Memory (2022). This piece explores the poignant theme of a strained father-son relationship, as the father grapples with dementia. A fleeting moment of clarity offers them a chance to reconnect. Will this be enough to mend their bond, or are they destined to remain distant until the end? Enjoy and let your imagination bring these scenes to life.
